Minotaurs are a race of strong, intelligent, aggressive, and combative race of sentient beings native to the world of Narnia.
Description[]
Minotaurs were described to be muscular humanoids with fur-covered bodies and bull-like heads. Their fur can come in a variety of colours, and are powerfully built, which gives them incredible strength. They have the head of a bull with large horns, a tail, and walk around on two legs, but with hooves and paws instead of feet. They do have hands, but theirs only have three stump-like fingers on them, which are two massive ones and one small one. Together with their vast strength, they are also very ill-tempered, particularly when they fight against their enemies. However, some can be known to be quite loyal and even cheerful if they are shown proper respect. They are also known to be, as well as being amongst the strongest soldiers in Narnia, almost limitlessly brave and the most resourceful. Their race is described as being a warrior culture. During battle; while a Minotaur's front is heavily armored, their back is left free of armor. They do this because to wear armor covering their backends implies that they would even consider retreating from the battlefield, which is shameful to their warrior ways. Together with their great strength, they also fight with a variety of weapons: Flails, Kopesh swords, and Battle-axes. Battle-axes are, apparently, their more favoured choice of weapon, as most Minotaurs are seen fighting with them.
Personality[]
Minotaurs loved to dwell within maze-like caverns or ruins.
Abilities[]
Minotaurs were known to be highly intelligent, and possessed instinctive cunning and were adept at ambush attacks. They could even track by scent alone, and would always investigate an unfamiliar scent. Minotaurs were fearless combatants, and would only retreat if their defeat was obvious.
Society[]
In the aftermath of Narnia's birth, many Minotaurs, who had split into clans either in the south or northern lands, worshipped Aslan or Jadis.
History[]
Creation[]
In the wake of the world of Narnia's birth, Minotaurs were among the creatures that Aslan brought forth from the ground.
Age of Conquest[]
During the Age of Conquest, many Minotaurs began to split into clans in the southern and northern kingdoms. Among the clans were the Bloodhorn Clan, Frosthorn Clan, and Silverhorn Clan. The Bloodhorn Clan lived in the mountains of the Wild Lands of the North, the Frosthorn Clan lived in the Glacial Tundra, and the Silverhorn Clan lived in the grand nation of Narnia. The Minotaurs of the Frosthorn Clan and the Bloodhorn Clan were among the first of the northern races that joined forces with the Jadis, who met them during her travels across the Wild Lands of the North and the Glacial Tundra after she was banished by Aslan for the crimes she committed in the grand nation of Narnia. Despite the Northern Minotaurs pledging their loyalty to the White Witch, the Southern Minotaurs, who were all part of the Silverhorn Clan, were highly loyal to House Pevensie in the kingdom of Narnia, including their creator Aslan.
Types of Minotaur Clans[]
Bloodhorn Clan[]
Frosthorn Clan[]
The Frosthorn Clan is one of the largest of all Minotaur clans in the world of Narnia. Living in the country called Glacial Tundra, the Minotaurs of the Frosthorn Clan were known to have worshipped Queen Jadis, who was once exiled by Aslan to live in Witch's Country.
Silverhorn Clan[]
The Silverhorn Clan is one of the largest of all Minotaur clans in the world of Narnia. Unlike the Northern Minotaur Clans, the Minotaurs of the Silverhorn Clan were known to have settled in the grand nation of Narnia and have gotten along with the other Narnian races that have lived for centuries during the Age of Conquest, including the inhabitants of Archenland.
